Despite being diagnosed with a high ankle sprain just eight days before the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes proved why he is a force to be reckoned with. Just 17 seconds from the end of the game, Mahomes faced a third-and-4 situation. The clock ticking away, he stepped forward into a vacant space before noticing an area to the right side wide open, and gambled on the 5-yard run. According to NextGen Stats, Mahomes was clocked at a staggering 18.14 mph when he hit top speed.
"At some points in the games, you've got to put it all on the line," Mahomes told CBS Sports. “I knew I was going to get there somehow.” Chiefs left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. emphasized how high the stakes were, and the difficulty of the task. He praised the Bengals for their ability to out-execute the Chiefs, credits Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson for his pass-rushing ability, and praised the Kansas City coaching staff for the high standards they place on their players.
Head Coach Andy Reid echoed the sentiment, telling the BBC, “I'm proud of Patrick for fighting for every single yard out there, and for leaving it all on the field despite the injury. He may not have won the Championship, but he certainly showed that anything is possible when you set your mind on achieving a goal.”
The Chiefs may have lost this Championship, but Mahomes has set a new standard of determination and grit. Even though the season may not have ended with the result Mahomes and the Chiefs wanted, their incredible performance proves beyond a doubt that Mahomes is one of the fiercest competitors in the game today.
The Kansas City Chiefs used a fourth quarter scoring drive to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. The win was the first of the season for the Chiefs, while the Bengals dropped to 0-1.
The teams traded field goals in the first half but it was the Chiefs who got into the end zone first. With 3:50 to go in the second quarter, Chiefs quarterback Pat Mahomes connected with tight end Travis Kelce for a 14-yard touchdown pass.
The Bengals responded to tie the game early in the third quarter when rookie resiund Joe Burrow found wide receiver Tyler Higgins for a 27-yard touchdown strike. The Chiefs scored late in the third quarter when Mahomes connected with wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a 19-yard touchdown pass.
Despite having the lead late in the game, the Bengals couldn’t hang on, with running back Samaje Perine scoring the final touchdown of the game on a two-yard run. The Chiefs held on for the 23-20 win.
Mahomes finished the game with 32-45 passing for 372 yards and two touchdowns. Burrow, meanwhile, had 312 passing yards, 29 rushing yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut. The Chiefs (1-0) will host the Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday, while the Bengals (0-1) will look to bounce back against the Cleveland Browns at home.
The Dallas Mavericks (26-25) are facing a must-win situation after suffering a devastating loss to the Utah Jazz over the weekend. Looking to rebound from the loss, the Mavs welcome the Detroit Pistons (13-38) to the American Airlines Center on Monday night. Dallas is running short on leverage, however, as they are currently without key players Luka Doncic and Christian Wood, along with Maxi Kleber who is still recovering from a back issue. Detroit's Cory Joseph will miss the game due to injury as well.
It's arguably a trap game for Dallas, but they shouldn't have trouble with the Pistons, a team comfortable with tanking. Detroit has only won three games since January and have the second worst defensive rating in the NBA. Compounding their struggles, they surrendered a staggering 150 points to the Milwaukee Bucks last week.
For Dallas, this is a must-win game, and Spencer Dinwiddie is ready to take on the responsibility. After back-to-back 35-point games, Dinwiddie has thrust his name on the list of Mavericks with five or more such outings. Dinwiddie joins Luka Doncic, Mark Aguirre, Dirk Nowitzki, and Kristaps Porzingis on the illustrious list.
The Mavericks are listed as 7.5-point favorites and the over/under is set at - for the game. With their backs against the wall, Dallas must seize the opportunity for their fourth win in the last 12 games. Anything less and the postseason will become increasingly difficult to reach.
At the upcoming AFC Championship match between the Chiefs and Bengals Sunday, Navy Veteran Generald Wilson will sing the national anthem. Additionally, four T-38s from Whiteman Air Force Base will perform a flyover, and American rapper Fat Joe will have a halftime performance.
Wilson has been singing for professional sports teams for more than 20 years. He kicked off the Chiefs' home opener last September against the Chargers and has warmed up the crowd for each sporting event with his rendition of the national anthem.
"For that minute and a half, you're putting away your differences and you're singing a song together with the person sitting next to you; the person way across the field or the court," Wilson said.
Wilson's performance will signal the 33rd meeting between the Chiefs and Bengals. Cincinnati leads the series 18-14, and boasts the longest winning streak of five, from 1972 to 1977.
Sunday's game is sure to be a close one, and the teams both have a lot of exciting players to watch. Backed by five-time MVP Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are currently 1.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. For the Bengals, the spotlight will be on Vonn Bell, who intercepted Mahomes in the overtime of their last matchup in the 2021 AFC Championship game.
Between Generald Wilson's rendition of the national anthem to Fat Joe's halftime performance, and the flyover and football game to follow, Sunday's AFC Championship is set to be a memorable day.
Super Bowl fever has begun! On Sunday, February 12th, the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will go toe-to-toe at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kick-off is set for 6:30pm EST and international popstar, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Rihanna will headline the halftime show.
Super Bowl LVII marks the Eagles' fourth trip to the championship and is the Chiefs’ first since the 2020 season. The Eagles won their lone Super Bowl championship in 2017 when they beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
For those looking to watch the big game, you can tune in live on Fox. Don’t worry if you don’t have a TV, you can still watch the game using the Fox Sports website, app, NFL+, Hulu, fuboTV, and Sling TV.
What’s more, the NFL has been using Roman numerals to add a little extra flair to the big game. Super Bowl V was the first to use Roman numerals and they have since been used every year until 2016. That year, the NFL used a plain old “50” for Super Bowl L, or 50. This year, the Roman numerals for Super Bowl LVII are LVII.
Of course, the Patriots and Steelers have topped the leaderboard when it comes to Super Bowl wins with six each. Will the Eagles and Chiefs join these teams as Super Bowl legends? Find out on February 12th.
After a successful trade from the New York Giants, the Kansas City Chiefs have found a new dynamic weapon in wide receiver Kadarius Toney. Despite having only been with the team for two and a half months, Toney has been used to create an X-Factor on the limited offensive snaps he's given. Saturday's Divisional Round was a prime example, with Toney running 12 routes on just 20 offensive snaps and being targeted seven times in comparison to just two targets for JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
It's clear the Chiefs have seen Toney as a "gadget" player, getting the ball in his hands quickly and allowing him to create extra yardage, resulting in an average of seven yards after catch on his 14 receptions this season. With the emergence of Toney and the injury to Chiefs safety L'Jarius Sneed, sidelined for the rest of the game with a concussion, how Toney's production will be managed against the Cincinnati Bengals for the Championship game is something to keep a close eye on. Toney's speed and dynamic ability to create something special whenever he has the ball in his hands makes him the prime X-Factor for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Patrick Mahomes' ankle sprain may have raised questions around how the star quarterback will perform in the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. His trainer, Bobby Stroupe, posted a meme on Twitter of a fake X-ray of the injury that suggested the toughness of Mahomes. After the game last Sunday, Mahomes returned to practice on Friday and told reporters that, while sore, he felt better than expected and has continued to get better throughout the week. Head Coach Andy Reid said the team's game plan is expansive enough to cater any potential limitations that may be faced. Mahomes expressed similar confidence, stating that he wasn't ready to concede that he won't be able to scramble and make plays. Despite tight end Travis Kelce being classified as questionable due to a back injury, all eyes, particularly those of the sports world, will be on Patrick Mahomes on Sunday night. His strength, agility and mobility will be tested but, with his resilience and determination, this may be the moment he proves why he is one of the top NFL quarterbacks.
The Cincinnati Bengals may have thought that Jackson Carman was better suited for the interior line when they selected him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but despite not playing at left tackle since college, Carman took the reins when starter Jonah Williams went down with injury and provided Cincinnati with an unexpected late-season boon.
Making his playoff debut against the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday, Carman rose to the occasion. He notched an impressive 76.0 Pass Block Grade from ProFootballFocus while allowing zero sacks, one QB hit, and three pressures. Moreover, his performance drew rave reviews from his teammates and opponents, with Joe Burrow and ex-Ravens safety Eric Weddle both praising Carman’s debut in no uncertain terms.
The storybook success of Carman’s first career start at left tackle cannot be overlooked; he faced adversity throughout the regular season, yet maintained a perfect ‘mindset’ and emerged with an unexpected playoff performance that has given Bengals fans cause for optimism. Now, as the AFC title game approaches, Cincinnati will look to carry the momentum forward and make another Super Bowl run.
On Super Bowl Sunday, gathering around the big screen doesn't have to just involve beer and chips anymore. According to Food Network star and celebrity chef, Guy Fieri, the perfect sliders for game-time snacking involves 80-20 lean-to-fat ratio for meat and chuck brisket short rib mix for a juicy, flavorful slider. With the right burger blend and some of Fieri's recipes, this year’s Super Bowl will prove to be the tastiest one yet.
Fieri, host of the shows "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" and "Guy's Grocery Games," told the Daily Meal that 80-20 should be the go-to lean-to-fat ratio for tasty sliders. He also suggested chuck brisket short rib mix to guarantee that the sliders won't be dry. Beef not the only thing on the table? Fieri also has a special Nacho Average Torta Slider recipe with a company called King's Hawaiian. The mini nacho sandwiches are sure to make any game-day spread one to remember.

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for yet another AFC Championship Game, the red, white, and gold spirit of the team is shining through in the city. Local businesses, like bakeries Cheri's and Connie's Cookies, are taking orders for creative fan treats such as Chiefs logo cookies and Patrick Mahomes cakes to enjoy throughout the weekend. As well, Community Blood Centers is offering a special incentive with a chance to win tickets and a parking pass to the game by donating blood between Jan 23-25.
"We usually wait until it gets really exciting in the playoffs, but we've had cookies every year that they've made it, even the years they made it to the Super Bowl," says Marisa McCall, co-owner of Cheri's Bakery.
Coupled with a flyover by four T-38s from Whiteman Air Force Base, a halftime performance by American rapper Fat Joe, and a performance of the national anthem by United States Navy Veteran Generald Wilson, Sunday's game promises to be extra special for the city of Kansas City.
“If you come in to donate blood, that blood
The Kansas City Chiefs completed their remarkable comeback with a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday's AFC Championship. The Chiefs became the first team in 30 years to reach three Super Bowls in four years.
Facing long odds, quarterback Patrick Mahomes drove the Chiefs down the field with 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Mahomes' hobbled right ankle saw him scramble for five yards for a first down at the Bengals' 42-yard line. The 15-yard penalty resulting from Mahomes getting shoved after he was out of bounds gave the Chiefs enough of a boost for kicker Harrison Butker to make a 45-yard game-winning field goal with three remaining on the clock.
Mahomes' efforts were supported by the entire Chiefs roster, including wide receiver Mecole Hardman; Hardman hadn't played since Week 9, yet he was ruled active for the AFC Championship game. Hardman caught 25 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns prior to the Chiefs' trading Tyreek Hill before the season. With Hardman back in the lineup, the Chiefs ruled out receivers Justin Watson and Ihmir Smith-Marsette.
The Chiefs had to overcome an onslaught of injuries to clinch the victory; cornerback L'Jarius Sneed went down with a concussion, linebacker Willie Gay Jr. with a shoulder injury and wide receivers Toney with a twisted ankle and Hardman while getting tackled.Fortunately, the Chiefs heads will get their full arsenal of weapons to the Super Bowl, set to face the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City coach Andy Reid will face his old team, while tight end Travis Kelce will play against his older brother Jason, who is a center on the Philadelphia squad.
The Mahomes family's remarkable journey is headed for a historic moment as Patrick Mahomes leads the Kansas City Chiefs to the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals. But the road to the championship has a cause all its own, as Patrick, 27, and his wife Brittany, 27, are inspiring their daughter Sterling, 23 months, to follow in their own footsteps.
On Wednesday, Brittany posted pictures of Sterling carefully watching as Patrick worked out with equal attention as if she was keeping count of each weight he lifted. With tiny hot pink weights in her grasp and a big white bow in her hair, the toddler was following her dad's lead, while Brittany wrote in the caption, "If it's one thing she loves to do, it's watch her daddy."
Since adding little brother Bronze, 8 weeks, to the family, Sterling has handled big sister duties gracefully. This loving and supportive attitude has been rewarded in part by Sterling's parents: a soft pink french manicure and everyday lessons to help her become her own person.
With the Mahomes family gearing up for the championship, and Sterling poised to take after her parents, the future looks like an unending cycle of inspiration, nurturing, and accomplishment.
Kansas City is abuzz ahead of the Chiefs and Bengals game this weekend, where football rivalries will be put aside in order to place bets on iconic foods. Kansas City Representatives Emanuel Cleaver and Sharice Davids wagered Kansas City’s finest BBQ against Cincinnati chili by challenging their new congressman colleague from Ohio, Rep. Greg Landsman. Although Cincinnati chili is iconic to Ohio natives, its recipe of cinnamon, chocolate, and cloves have critics across the country. Not to be outdone, in 1919, Dixon's Chili was founded in Independence, serving it up until 1961, at which point their chili recipe was cemented. Kansas City won't back down, however; locals have embraced the Chiefs and Kansas City restaurants such as Arthur Bryant's are issuing long-distance challenges for the Bengals to chow-down on some Kansas City BBQ. As Jay Hummel, a Kansas City marriage into Bengals fandom, puts it, it is truly a tough decision. So, who will you be cheering this weekend?
The 2021 NFL season is culminating this weekend with the Divisional Round of the playoffs. No matter the results, the AFC Championship will not be held at home stadiums, as the NFL has identified Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as the potential site for the potential Bills-Chiefs matchup. This comes after the decision not to resume the Bills-Bengals game due to Damar Hamilin's medical emergency led to a resolution that allowed for a neutral-site AFC Championship. It’s a drastic yet profitable change for the NFL. It would create new revenue sources by naming rights, allowing cities to capitalize on Super Bowl quality events and the NFL to control and sell the ticket and suite sales. With the advancements in medical treatments and safety protocols, could this be the start of a permanent switch in the pro football playoff format? We’ll have to wait and see the results of this weekend’s matchups to find out.
It was January 2022 when Brian and Nyomi Brooks talked of an unlikely matchup: His Kansas City Chiefs versus her Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship. "Last time, I'm the fiance," Nyomi Brooks said as she laughed, "Now, I'm the wife." Now, nearly a year later, the couple find themselves in the same spot with the same teams vying for a shot at Super Bowl LVII.
BetOnline data shows that the Bengals are backed by 23 states and the Chiefs by 19, while only six show support for the Eagles and two for the 49ers. But for the Brooks family, the competition is much more personal and friendship is tested as the couple declares a temporal silent treatment.
"When the clock hit zero, I was screaming, jumping up and down," Nyomi said of the last time the Bengals won. Despite all the pressure from her new in-laws, Nyomi's team spirit still remained. For Brian, the situation was dire, but in the end, he remained a good sport. "I went into like, super stealth husband mode," he said. "I put my feelings to the side and let her enjoy her experience."
Now, with the clock ticking, the gloves are off as the two teams face off with a trip to the Big Game on the line. Chief's linebacker Nick Bolton notes that the legendary rivalry is more about putting on for the fans and teammate "We got to out there play fast, play physical and have fun," he said. As the Brooks family awaits, it's less about exorcising demons and more about executing in this battle of family loyalty, and for one couple, the stakes have never been higher.
Who Dey Nation will have plenty of chances to celebrate the players of the present and past this weekend. To commemorate the Cincinnati Bengals' AFC Championship game, DICK'S Sporting Goods is holding an autograph signing with Bengals' legend Anthony Munoz as well as a pep rally at the Kenwood location.
The autograph signing will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Munoz signing complimentary player cards or in-store purchases. Store officials said 300 wristbands will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis at 9 a.m. The pep rally will include giveaways, face paintings, snacks, and a Who Dey mascot. Bengals stars Ickey Woods and Christian Okoye are also hosting a "Charity Championship" contest in order to raise money for their foundations.
Pending a Bengals win, select local stores will have extended hours for fans to score the latest gear. Bengals royalty from the 88-89 teams, including Esiason, Woods, Brown and Collinsworth, will be remembered for the success their team achieved that season.

The Washington Commanders are in need of an offensive coordinator and it may be Eric Bieniemy's time to make a move. The long-time Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator has his contract expiring soon and it looks like the time is nigh for him to find a new home.
After a five year tenure with the Chiefs, Bieniemy has led the Chiefs to an impressive regular season record of 64-18 and eight playoff wins, including a triumphant Super Bowl victory. During this time, Bieniemy has been consistently sought after as a potential head coach, as USA Today reported that he has been interviewed for 15 head coaching jobs since 2019.
However, despite his impressive resume, Bieniemy's attempts to secure a head coaching job have been unsuccessful. With the Commanders searching for a new offensive coordinator, Bieniemy may be their best chance yet; bringing his spectacular offensive expertise and prowess to Washington.
As a top target of over a dozen teams, the Commanders, who have interviewed two other candidates, could be in the running to win over Bieniemy. If Bieniemy comes to D.C., the Commanders could have a home run on their hands.
For Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts, their rivalry started in 2019 when the two faced off in the Big 12. Purdy had six touchdowns, and Hurts put up five in Oklahoma’s 41- 42 victory. But this Sunday the two will be competing for more than bragging rights - they’ll be vying for a spot in Super Bowl LVII.
When the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles meet Sunday in the NFC Championship, it’ll be a rematch of their 2019 college game. Hurts impressed with his deep throws, leading the league in touchdown passes, completing 50% of passes on throws of 25-plus air yards. The 49ers' defense must put pressure on Hurts to capitalize on his weakest part of his game.
For the 49ers, however, a significant obstacle stands in their way: injuries. Starting QB Trey Lance and backup Jimmy Garoppolo ended their season with ankle and foot injuries, leaving the 4th-string QB Josh Johnson with limited reps. When Johnson got a concussion on the opening drive of the second half, it was the injured Brock Purdy who led the team in the loss to the Eagles.
It all comes down to Sunday evening when Hurts and Purdy and their respective teams collide in an epic NFC Championship. One of these teams will be one game away from becoming NFL champions. All eyes on these two QBs as they deliver an unparalleled showdown and prove why they are two of the best in the game.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is abuzz as the long-awaited conference championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles takes center stage. As they enter Lincoln Financial Field this afternoon, the 49ers bring with them an unwavering defiance and a raucous spirit, intensified by their now-viral “Boombox” entrance blaring “Won’t Step On Me” by YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
The contagious energy has reached Eagle and 49ers fans alike, who over at Reading Terminal Market were seen stocking up to show their support on game day. With superstitions and expectations playing an equally important role in today’s match, local sporting psychology consultant Jen Croneberger says it’s important to remember there are some things fans cannot control.
"As a fan, I have no control. I'm not on the field, I'm not running the ball, I'm not running defense. So, all I can control are those little things, and so we tend to find things that we feel like we can control to be a part of the game," said Croneberger.
The 49ers will need to bring that same spirit and determination into the field today if they are to keep alive their dreams of making it to the Super Bowl. The Philadelphia Eagles are ready and waiting to put an end to their run and reign supreme as conference champions. Whatever the outcome, it will be an unforgettable game.
As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to take on the New York Giants in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, they find themselves without the presence of Avonte Maddox due to a toe injury. But the team has risen to the challenge and put their faith in a surprising source: rookie safety Reed Blankenship.
The 23-year-old Blankenship has seen action in 10 games this season, with 4 starts and 291 snaps. He's proven himself to be a dependable asset, which is why the Eagles chose to move C.J. Gardner-Johnson into the slot on nickel downs, a plan they tested in the last week of regular season play.
Blankenship is aware of the challenge ahead. “I’ve been put in this position because they trust me,” he said this week. “And I’m not going to screw it up.” Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon has faith in the entire secondary, saying, “I’ve got faith in that entire room.”
Though Maddox' absence is felt, Blankenship's emergence helps the Eagles feel secure and ready to face the Giants. The team has put their trust in the rookie, and Blankenship strives to prove them right and make the most of this opportunity. All eyes are on him and the secondary as the playoffs kick off.
The San Francisco 49ers travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in a showdown for a spot in the Super Bowl. In addition to the on-field action, questions remain regarding a potential return of QB Jimmy Garoppolo. The 31-year old quarterback has been out since Week 13 as a result of a broken left foot, and the original diagnosis put his recovery at 6-7 weeks. This week marks the 7-week point, and Garoppolo was seen walking on his own and working with team medical staff.
Jimmy Garoppolo has already returned to practice in a limited capacity, leading to speculation he will return as the slot if the 49ers reach the Super Bowl on the back of the impressive performances by QB Brock Purdy.
The rookie quarterback has shone since taking the reigns of the team, bringing an energy and confidence that has taken the 49ers to 9 consecutive wins and counting. He will look to make it 10 against a daunting Eagles lineup in one of the most important games of the season.
But if the 49ers prove victorious, Jimmy Garoppolo could be set to make a miraculous return and backup Purdy in their run for a Super Bowl title. It will be a long road to get there but one the reigning NFC Champions would happily take.
This Sunday will be the matchup of two of the most dynamic tight ends in the league, as George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers faces off against Zach Ertz of the Philadelphia Eagles. This gamemarks an interesting reunion between the two players, who both starred at the University of Arkansas while competing in the SEC. Both have been revolutionizing the tight end position in the NFL, with Kittle becoming an All-Pro tight end and Ertz being a constant Pro Bowler. Kittle's exemplary athleticism and ability to beat defenders one-on-one makes him a matchup nightmare. Ertz, meanwhile, brings a physicality and speed to the Eagles offense that makes him difficult to tackle.
Kittle and Ertz will have some support from their respective teams, as Hurts and Purdy both lead potent offenses. Kittle will have to avoid Bengals cornerback Adoree' Jackson, who was thrown around by Ertz in last week's wild-card matchup against the Giants. Kansas City Chiefs Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo says that the relationship between Mahomes and Kelce is remarkable, and that the 33-year-old is just as dangerous as before, if not more so.
Both teams are loaded with talent, and the tight end matchups is just one of several key factors. With the stage set, it will be compelling to see how the big names perform in what is sure to be a thrilling NFC Championship game.
The San Francisco 49ers and their rookie QB Brock Purdy are set to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game on Sunday. Purdy has already earned a fan in one of the WWE's most legendary managers, Paul Heyman. Unlike the Eagles fans, he wasn’t quiet about his admiration. During Monday Night Raw in Philly, Heyman proclaimed that Purdy will "conquer" the Eagles, which didn't come as a surprise and resulted in fans booing Heyman off the stage.
The NFL world was more than ready to join in on the fun. From fans commenting on how Heyman could start a riot to jokes about why Purdy changed his name, the trolling went both ways. Heyman is likely no longer a fan favorite in Philadelphia, but the nation's other football fans can hardly contain their glee.
Purdy and the 49ers go into the NFC Championship with a 7-game winning streak, and while they're unfazed by some trolling, they are ready to prove why they're the best. One will remain standing at the end of Sunday, and Purdy will look to
The Genesis X Convertible concept is set to enter production, transforming the Hyundai-owned premium car brand’s lineup with a sleek and luxurious convertible. After making its debut at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, the car is finally being made available for purchase. Discussions about the car’s production plan were made at the automaker’s annual general meeting.
The X Convertible feature a long hood and short deck with an arcing body line, flared wheel arches, and the trademark Genesis split lights front and rear. As a halo model for the Hyundai Group-owned luxury carmaker, it expresses what’s possible from the premium marquee. The estimated price of the car is between $200,000-$300,000, generating plenty of attention and anticipation for the vehicle.
Chairman of the Genesis National Dealer Advisory Council Peter Lanzavecchia commented, “I guarantee we’re going see a lot of Bentley Continental convertible trade-ins on [the X Convertible] when it comes to our showrooms.” With the Genesis X Convertible, the premium car market is one step closer to a sleek and luxurious convertible, and it’s now just a matter of time before these cars begin appearing in showrooms.
Nick Bosa was granted the highest of accolades when he was named the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) Defensive Player of the Year. During the 16 week season, he led the NFL with 18.5 sacks and second-most in franchise history with 49 quarterback hits, and notched 51 total tackles (41 solo) as well as 19 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one pass defended. He tallied five games with multiple sacks, including a season-high 3.0 sacks against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.
The veteran defensive lineman also earned NFCC Defensive Player of the Week celebrated Week 13 and Week 16, then crowned NFCC Defensive Player of the Month for November. Breaking the 49ers streak, Bosa has become the first player in four years to be awarded the PFWA’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Joey Bosa, Nick’s older brother, was in attendance at the game donning a 49ers jacket in recognition of his brother’s outstanding contributions. However, his act of support got him in a heated exchange with an Eagles fan who heckled him for his choice of clothing
