Eric Bieniemy Could Soon be Coaching Elsewhere

The Washington Commanders are in need of an offensive coordinator and it may be Eric Bieniemy's time to make a move. The long-time Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator has his contract expiring soon and it looks like the time is nigh for him to find a new home.

After a five year tenure with the Chiefs, Bieniemy has led the Chiefs to an impressive regular season record of 64-18 and eight playoff wins, including a triumphant Super Bowl victory. During this time, Bieniemy has been consistently sought after as a potential head coach, as USA Today reported that he has been interviewed for 15 head coaching jobs since 2019.

However, despite his impressive resume, Bieniemy's attempts to secure a head coaching job have been unsuccessful. With the Commanders searching for a new offensive coordinator, Bieniemy may be their best chance yet; bringing his spectacular offensive expertise and prowess to Washington.

As a top target of over a dozen teams, the Commanders, who have interviewed two other candidates, could be in the running to win over Bieniemy. If Bieniemy comes to D.C., the Commanders could have a home run on their hands.
