Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, two leaders for life, are set to meet in Moscow on Monday as part of a highly symbolized meeting meant to demonstrate the strength of the "no limits" friendship between the two sides. While a grand breakthrough on Ukraine is unlikely, the meeting carries high stakes. Xi's visit offers an opportunity for Putin to showcase the new world order he has been shaping with his ambitious warfare on Ukraine, and for the Chinese leader to strengthen ties with a powerful but strategic partner. Analysts note that Xi doesn't actually have to achieve much during the visit to burnish China's credibility as a global heavyweight. This comes as the United States and its NATO allies are increasingly looking to position themselves against Russia and China – a competition for global influence and geopolitical alliances of its own. The visit further emboldens Putin and his belief that the world is no longer under the control of the West. Furthermore, analysts

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, his Commissioner for Children's Rights, have been formally accused of violating the laws of war by forcibly removing Ukrainian children and deporting them to Russia. The International Criminal Court released an arrest warrant citing that it believes Putin bears individual responsibility for these war crimes.

The warrant states that there are "reasonable grounds to believe Mr. Putin bears individual criminal responsibility for the aforementioned crimes" and that the criminal acts consist of an “unlawful deportation of population (children) and the unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine.” According to the International Criminal Court, Putin and Lvova-Belova’s actions violate the Geneva Conventions.

Although the Russian government claims that the policy is a humanitarian move, aimed at saving Ukrainian children from a war zone, the ICC has declared the policy as a systematic campaign to erase Ukraine’s

Described as a "brotherly friendship," Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin's partnership promises a "no limits" global confrontation against Western hegemony, but is it really that strong? As Xi's state visit unveils this Monday, some of their pledges for mutual prosperity are coming into question.

The promised mutual prosperity appears to be undermined by the harsh reality of their economic ties. The China-Russia border is littered with potholed streets, stray dogs and shops in Heihe, a city once bustling with Russian shoppers, now now barely open amid a broken trade center. Investment promised by both sides has yet to come to fruition, and instead, the two countries seem to be struggling to bring their bonds to fruition while entering a Cold War 2.0.

While President Putin praised the US-counteraction in his piece published in People's Daily, the Xi-Putin relationship may ultimately be tested by the

The resounding cheer that spread throughout the stands was earned not just by the outcome of the game but by the sheer effort showcased throughout the battle. On Saturday night, Kokomo went verse and verse with Penn in the Class 4A Michigan City Semifinal and prevailed with a 58-57 win that took everyone's breath away.

Flory Bidunga, a consensus No. 2 high school basketball junior in the country led Kokomo with a formidable 25 points, 22 rebounds and 5 blocks. In addition to his finesse, a hard-nosed defensive effort by Patrick Hardimon to somewhat contain Indiana Mr. Baskeball candidate Markus Burton's 27-point performance sealed the Wildkats' hard-fought victory.

"Our man Patrick really plays the best defense." reflected Bidunga after the game, "if that wasn't his best, it was

Barcelona have been officially charged with corruption by Spanish prosecutors in regards to payments made to former vice-president of the referees' committee, Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, who is accused of favouring the La Liga club in the decisions taken by referees. According to reports, Barcelona paid more than EUR7.3m to businesses owned by Negreira between 2001 and 2018.

The complaint also targeted two of the club’s former presidents - Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu - and claims they reached a "confidential verbal agreement" with Negreira to financially benefit from his influence on refs over the match results. Barcelona have denied the accusation and stated that the payments were for a "technical report related to professional refereeing process" - however a judge has yet to decide on whether to proceed with the case.

Real Madrid face a difficult month with eight Euroleague and four LaLiga games in March. As table leaders, the team are hoping to prove themselves and gain the title of champions. El Clasico on Sunday will decide a large portion of the outcome, with Barcelona holding a nine-point lead.

Leaders Barcelona will offer quite a challenge, hosting Real Madrid at Camp Nou. The team are without Pedri and Ousmane Dembele due to injury, however are still at full capacity for their clash. Real Madrid's key players Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr will be in the match, despite Vinicius suffering racial abuse in LaLiga matches.

A win for Barcelona would open up a twelve point buffer and the title would be almost decided, whereas a victory for Real Madrid would keep the race alive. Coach Carlo Ancelotti believes

In a historic move, the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and one of his high-ranking officials, Maria Lvova-Belova. Mr. Putin is now formally accused of war crimes for allegedly forcibly removing Ukrainian children and deporting them to Russia in violation of the Geneva Conventions.

The charges against Mr. Putin and Ms. Lvova-Belova are the result of an extensive investigation into the illegal activities of Russian-backed forces during their campaign in Ukraine. According to the ICC, there are reasonable grounds to believe that Mr. Putin and Ms. Lvova-Belova are individually responsible for these horrific acts.

Officially, the Russian government denies any wrong-doing and asserts that it is not subject to the ICC’s jurisdiction. President Putin has labeled these accusations as “groundless” and claims the policy of relocating Ukrainian children is a form

Russian president Vladimir Putin's status as an international pariah has been cemented after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for him on Friday. The court accused him of overseeing the war crime of unlawfully abducting and deporting children from Ukraine to Russia. Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, immediately rejected the court's findings, claiming Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC.

The arrest warrant means that Putin will no longer be able to travel to 123 countries which signed the statute that created the court. He runs the risk of arrest in any of these countries, as they are obliged to follow through with the arrest warrant. Most governments also abide by the international legal principle that heads of state have immunity from other courts, making it unclear how many would be willing to arrest the president of a nuclear-armed and oil-rich power.

The ICC accuses Putin and his former "Commissioner

On Tuesday, a raid of an illegal gold mining site in Brazil's Amazon rainforest revealed the use of Elon Musk's Starlink internet. Federal agents of the Brazilian environment agency and the federal highway police discovered a Starlink satellite terminal alongside a gold-mining pit. The First Command of the Capital, Brazil's most dangerous criminal organization, is believed to be behind this illegal mining.

Starlink was introduced as a division of SpaceX in 2019, with the goal of providing low latency broadband internet to underserved areas. In January 2022, Brazil adopted it as part of a government-led project with the intention of providing internet to schools in rural areas and monitoring the Amazon rainforest.

While the government-led project has yet to get off the ground, the use of Starlink by illegal mining groups has increased rapidly. Illegal miners have utilized internet for coordination for some time, but Starlink offers the

Crystal Palace are in the midst of their worst run in years under the new manager, Patrick Veira. As of March 8, 2023 Veira has yet to notch a victory in nine games, prompting boos of backlash from frustrated supporters. With premier league matches against Manchester City, Brighton, and Veira's old club Arsenal in the near future, it appears the manager must battle his own team to secure a win.

Veira is aware of the dilemma and finds comfort in remaining in the same page with his young, inexperienced team. Despite their age and minimal Premier League experience, Veira believes that with adequate playing time and the right guidance the players can flourish into top players.

The 11-0 defeat at Aston Villa was not the result Palace were hoping for, but fans did see progress in their defense. Despite the loss, Veira maintained optimism regarding his team's prospects looking forward

Yesterday, the International Criminal Court in The Hague charged Russian President Vladimir Putin with war crimes. The arrest warrants for Putin and his Commissioner for Children's Rights, Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, relate to their involvement in the forced deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia. After the warrants were issued, Putin made a bold move to visit Russian-occupied Mariupol.

The International Criminal Court has no mechanisms of their own to enforce the warrant, so it is unlikely Putin will ever face the consequences of his actions. However, other governments will still have to weigh the reaction and costs of attempting to arrest him and other consequences of his actions if they choose to respond.

The warrants aren’t only a long-awaited accountability measure, but also a permanent record in history of Putin’s violations of international law. After investigations into crimes such as the deliberate striking of Ukrainian civilians, Putin is facing a

Former President Donald Trump is expected to be arrested as early as Tuesday, as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his grand jury prepare to file felony charges. On Saturday, the former president made a post on Truth Social claiming that “the Far & Away Leading Republican candidate and Former President of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, take our nation back!"

Trump is aware that he could be indicted based upon the investigation of paying porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in hush money in October 2016, and former Trump bagman Michael Cohen already pleaded guilty and did federal time for his role in the coverup conspiracy of their tryst. Trump is also likely being examined on the $150,000 he paid ex-Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal - again for hush money - in August 2016.

The former president's legal team is preparing for the charges and any possible court

For millions of TikTok users in the US, the popular video-sharing platform may soon become inaccessible as the Biden administration is ramping up pressure to ban the app in the country. Politically, the issue has drawn bipartisan support in Washington, D.C. with a bill currently going through Congress, known as the RESTRICT Act, that would grant the secretary of commerce the power to regulate or ban foreign-produced technology like TikTok – owned by Bytedance, a Chinese company.

The potential ban comes as the Biden administration is investigating reports of user data that could fall into the hands of the Chinese government and could be weaponized for China's political aims. The policy would involve preventing access to the app through app stores like Apple and Google, and could even go as far as to block access by internet service providers.

Users may be able to get around the ban, but experts agree that

El Super Clasico of the 2023 Liga MX is almost here! On Saturday, March 18, Guadalajara Chivas will welcome their archrivals Club America to Estadio Akron in Zapopan, Mexico. Both teams are close in the League standings, making this expected to be a thrilling match. Before kicking off, here is what you need to know.

Guadalajara Chivas's home record is 2-1-1 with 6 goals scored and 4 conceded in the 2023 Liga MX Clausura. The club needs its top scorer, midfielder Victor Guzman, to keep up his recent goal scoring streak if they have hope of overcoming America. Unfortunately, their forwards have not been able to contribute as much due to injuries from Alexis Vega and Isaac Brizuela.

On the other side, Club America is

Despite the bitter taste of his unceremonious exit, Paul George says he still has love for Indiana and that Pacers fans who boo him are just showing their love for him. Speaking on his podcast, George said he is grateful for his time in Indiana and even stated he hung banners there. While this may not be entirely accurate, George did lead the Pacers to two near NBA Finals appearances during their peak years in the early 2010s. While some Indiana faithful may still hold a grudge, George's success with the Pacers cannot be understated and his departure set the stage for the team to land future stars. As for George, he continues to chase that elusive championship with the Los Angeles Clippers, and whether he likes it or not, Pacers fans will continue to remind him of his past every time he steps foot in Indiana.

RB Leipzig showed their former glory on March 11, 19'23 at Red Bull Arena when they took down Borussia Monchengladbach 3-0. The game was evenly contested for much of the game, but Leipzig's attacking power shone through late in the day.

Borussia began the game determined to break their winless streak of two games since their last victory against Bayern Munich. Marco Rose tested their former side with 17 shots, though their disappointment was palpable as they trailed Leipzig by 7 points. RB Leipzig was eager to distance themselves from Dortmund and Bayern with a vengeance, and Emil Forsberg assisted in achieving that goal when he scored his second-half goal.

Leipzig grew more determined with every minute. In the 79th minute, Rsko Gvardiol kicked off the scoring by completing a left-footed shot from close range to

Former President Donald Trump is expected to turn himself in next week to face a criminal indictment from the Manhattan District Attorney's investigation into his business dealings. According to sources connected to the investigation, DA Alvin Bragg is considering charging Trump with crimes related to how he and his business classified reimbursement checks to his former fixer Michael Cohen for the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels and concealed the payment to hide a second crime.

Trump acknowledged the possible indictment and called for protests in a social media post on Saturday. He has argued privately that the impending indictment is a result of Bragg's alleged hatred for him. Concerns from some of his advisers about the optics of a large protest in the streets of Manhattan has done nothing to deter the former President's plans.

As such, meetings have been going on throughout the week between city, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in New York City to prepare for the

On March 20th, a train derailment near Cincinnati, Ohio spilled thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals, sparking an environmental crisis. Soon after, pro-Russian accounts on Twitter began to spread false claims and anti-American propaganda. The accounts, believed to be parroting Kremlin talking points, alleged, without evidence, that authorities were lying about the full impact of the accident.

The accounts attempted to use the verification system of tech mogul Elon Musk to expand their reach and gain credibility. It has been suggested that this was an effort to use the disaster to sow discord and undermine the public trust in U.S. institutions.

Russian president Vladimir Putin met with Russia’s top command over their military operations in Ukraine the same day. Putin faces an arrest warrant for a number of war crimes, though the connection between his visit and the Ohio derailment is still unknown.

Islam Makhachev has wasted no time in calling out UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards following his title defense win at UFC 286. The lightweight champion seeks to become a double champion at UFC Abu Dhabi in October.

Makhachev took to Twitter to post, “I want Leon next, October in Abu Dhabi”. The judges awarded Edwards a majority decision in his title trilogy match against Kamaru Usman, avenging the loss in their first title bout.

The fighter has already drawn attention from other competitors, including former interim champion Colby Covington, who Edwards is not interested in fighting. The champion had his eyes set on the clash between Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal at UFC 287, in pursuit of a grudge match.

The light heavyweight contender is also looking to avenge Usman’s title loss. In 2019, Edwards successfully defended
