As of March 8, 2023 Veira has yet to notch a victory in nine games, prompting boos of backlash from frustrated supporters. With premier league matches against Manchester City, Brighton, and Veira's old club Arsenal in the near future, it appears the manager must battle his own team to secure a win.

Veira is aware of the dilemma and finds comfort in remaining in the same page with his young, inexperienced team. Despite their age and minimal Premier League experience, Veira believes that with adequate playing time and the right guidance the players can flourish into top players.
