Former President Donald Trump is expected to turn himself in next week to face a criminal indictment from the Manhattan District Attorney's investigation into his business dealings. According to sources connected to the investigation, DA Alvin Bragg is considering charging Trump with crimes related to how he and his business classified reimbursement checks to his former fixer Michael Cohen for the hush money payment to Stormy Daniels and concealed the payment to hide a second crime.
Trump acknowledged the possible indictment and called for protests in a social media post on Saturday. He has argued privately that the impending indictment is a result of Bragg's alleged hatred for him. Concerns from some of his advisers about the optics of a large protest in the streets of Manhattan has done nothing to deter the former President's plans.
