On Thursday Night, the Pacers arena and Indiana fans erupted with joy as All-Star Tyrese Haliburton rejoined the Pacers starting lineup for the first time in 10 games. After being sidelined with knee and elbow sprains, Haliburton made his triumphant return against the Los Angeles Lakers to the delight of his teammates and the Indiana crowd.

The news of his All-Star selection had traveled quickly to the crowd, announced at the end of the first quarter of the game. At that point, Haliburton had already earned 11 points and fans knew they were in for a great evening.

Haliburton, the 12th overall pick in 2020, has sparked the Pacers to a competitive start to the season, despite many doubt pre-season predictions. Averaging 20.2 points and a league-leading 10.2 assists per game while shooting 48 percent overall and 39.9 percent from

Tyrese Haliburton has waited a long time for this moment. After suffering an injury with the Sacramento Kings earlier this season, the 21-year-old guard will return to the court this evening to face off with one of the greatest players of all time: LeBron James. Haliburton is excited to take on the challenge, saying "I'm confident in my abilities, and I'm ready to show the world tonight just what I'm capable of."

As a 6-foot-5 point guard, Haliburton is known for his defensive prowess and his ability to stretch the floor on the offensive end -- making him both a unique player and a tough match-up for the Lakers. Earlier today, Pacers’ Head Coach Nate Bjorkgren said "We're excited to have Ty back in our lineup, and we can't wait to see what he can do against the Lakers tonight."

Vinicius Jr., the 22-year-old professional footballer and Real Madrid left-sided winger, has made history. Junior has racked up an impressive 200 appearances for the Madrid giants for whom he has also scored a total of 49 goals and 37 assists. During La Liga, Junior often put on thrilling performances, averaging 2.6 shots, 1.7 key passes, and 2.5 dribbles per 90 minutes. Junior’s pass completion rate of 81.8% further demonstrates his impact in the final third.

In advance of his momentous 200th match against Valencia, Junior may be remembered best for an unforgettable debut with Real Madrid’s third-tier club, Castilla. Though it only lasted five matches, the young Brazilian showed signs of his unique personality, talent, and spirit, despite suffering a bite on the back of his head on his very first appearance by the

Valencia will be seeking a shot at redemption this weekend when they take on Real Valladolid in the Spanish La Liga. Unfortunately for the home side, their record against Los Che hasn't been favorable - Valencia have swept the past three encounters between the two teams and haven't lost to Valladolid since 2009.

Valencia's last outing ended in a disheartening 3-1 loss in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals, leaving Valencia fans to wonder if any form of success is on the horizon. Though Valencia currently sit in 12th place in the La Liga, just 3 points above the relegation zone, defender Cenk Ozkacar is confident that they can finish the season on a high note. Ozkacar thanked the 45,000 supporters in attendance and expressed his commitment to making things right on Sunday, “We have to win on Sunday against Valladolid because we owe it to

Amazon showed Thursday that despite robust holiday spending in the fourth quarter of 2022, its profits did not reflect the same level of success. Although salaries increased by 9% since the same period in 2021, resulting in a market-leading $149.2 billion, the e-commerce giant posted a dismal 3 cents per share, compared to analysts' expectations of 17 cents per share.

This result came despite promises to investors that it would cut costs. Amazon announced layoffs in November 2022, ultimately resulting in thousands of roles being cut. CEO Andy Jassy noted that their selections, value and delivery drove customer demand in the quarter - something that “exceeded expectations.”

Despite promising investments like the funding of electric vehicle company Rivian, the gamble brought Amazon’s balance sheet to a loss of $2.3 billion dollars, triple that of 2021’s $11.8 billion.

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is preparing to reveal its fourth-quarter earnings report on February 2nd. Investors are cautiously hoping that the tech behemoth will have a strong report to show in light of the tumultuous time the past year has been. As the tech industry evolves and competition increases, Alphabet is pinning its hopes on its AI technology to stay ahead of the curve.

Cloud computing is one area of strength for Alphabet, as its Google Cloud service continues to be a dependable growth driver. Our consensus estimate for Google Cloud revenue stands at $7.3 billion, with year-over-year growth expected to be over 32%. The performance of rival Microsoft's Intelligent Cloud was also encouraging, with revenue exceeding expectations and growing 18% year-over-year. Alphabet hopes to perform similarly.

Unfortunately, Google's advertising business has been struggling. Digital advertising as a whole has been

On Thursday, February 2nd, House Republicans voted to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., from the Foreign Affairs Committee in a long-standing partisan battle over committee assignments. In a 218 to 211 party-line vote with one GOP Rep. Dave Joyce of Ohio voting "present", Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy whipped the Republicans back into line after a handful of defections. All 211 Democrats unified behind Omar, who passionately spoke in defense of her place on the committee, bringing many of her colleagues to tears.

Republicans defended their action, saying Omar's past antisemitic comments disqualified her from the Foreign Affairs Committee, including a 2019 tweet about her views on the American-Israeli relationship and a comparison of the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban. Rep. Max Miller, R-Ohio, who authored the resolution, voiced his opinion saying "How can someone

The United States hopes to build a strategic arc around the disputed South China Sea by strengthening ties with the Philippines. This comes after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's scheduled meeting with President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. in Manila on Thursday.

The United States is after access to three of the Philippines' military bases in Luzon. With Luzon being the only large land mass close to Taiwan, the US can receive a front seat view of China's potential movements.

This new deal could be seen as America seeking to repair ties with the Philippines which have been strained since their exit in the early '90s. The Philippines, who had just overthrown their dictator Marcos, saw the US presence as a form of colonialism and welcomed the opportunity to prove their autonomy.

The US is not looking for permanent bases, instead searching for access to locations where surveillance and supplies can be found

As temperatures finally warm above freezing and move towards the mid to upper forties, the deadly ice storm that had crippled parts of Texas and the mid-South is coming to an end after four days of hazardous conditions that claimed the lives of eight people. Hundreds of thousands had found themselves without power, and up to three-quarters of an inch of ice had led to numerous downed trees and power lines. The combination of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and even rain had started on Wednesday evening, eventually leading to vertical rain by midday Thursday.

The storm-related fatalities had included a triple-fatal crash in Terry County and a crash that claimed the life of a student in the community of Wolfforth, Texas, as well as one death in Arkansas. Driving had been nearly impossible as roads were turned to sheets of ice, and numerous crashes were reported on roads, highways, bridges and overpasses

In a shocking turn of events, US prosecutors are looking into Rep. George Santos' alleged involvement in a fundraising scam involving a Navy veteran's dying dog. Richard Osthoff claims he asked Rep. Santos, then known as Anthony Devolder, to help raise money for the lifesaving surgery for his pit bull, Sapphire, and Santos set up a GoFundMe page to collect around $3,000 - but then became uncooperative and allegedly took off with the funds.

Osthoff has now spoken to a pair of FBI agents on behalf of the US Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of New York, which is investigating Santos' financials. He shared text messages with the agents that he had exchanged with Santos in 2016, where Santos was "jumping through hoops" and had "been in contact with the vet".

Santos has denied the allegations and told CNN in January that he had

America eagerly awaits Punxsutawney Phil's Groundhog Day prediction each year and this year is no different. On February 1, Phil made his 137th prediction and thousands of people turned up in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to be present for the special occasion.

Phil's "inner circle" gathered at Gobbler's Knob to learn if the groundhog saw its shadow or not. According to legends, if Phil sees his shadow, then six more weeks of winter is on its way. If he does not, then spring might come early. It came to no surprise that this year's prediction stated six more weeks of winter.

Few people are aware of how accurate Phil's predictions are, however. The Stormfax Almanac and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration rate his accuracy at 39%. The Weather Discovery Center, impressed by Phil's high dedication, awarded him a spot in the Meteor

The 2020 election left many questions unanswered, none more so than the financial integrity of Republican candidate George Santos' campaign. Currently, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) is pressing the Santos campaign after it listed a treasurer who denies taking the job.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy spoke on the matter of the debt ceiling, urging restraint and responsibility in how the government spends money. He likened the practice to raising a child with a credit card, adding that the responsible thing to do is not just to raise the limit, but look at how it is being used.

What spending cuts the House Republicans intend to push for are unknown, and at the moment, it is a contention issue within the caucus. Speaker McCarthy, when pressed by reporters, refused to negotiate in the press. With no current end in sight, the already complicated issue is further convoluted by those who are willing to let

Derek Jeter, five-time World Champion and forever Clutch Champion, recently revealed shocking and rather kinky details in order to shake his 2004 slump. In a recent interview on Jimmy Fallon’s “True Confession” segment, Jeter dropped a mind-blowing revelation: that he had in fact, worn a thong in front of thousands of people in order to break his slump. Known for his diplomatic demeanor and well grounded personality, this totally kooky concept was majorly unbelievable.

However, it was indeed true. As Jeter remarked, his slump in 2004 spurred his teammate, a former golden thong user, to encourage Jeter to become a “blessed” thong-wearer himself. Surprisingly, Jeter conceded to his desperation

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, two of Hollywood's most notorious and beloved actors, have officially announced their reunion in the long-awaited fourth film in the Bad Boys franchise. After the immediate success of the 2020 movie Bad Boys for Life, which grossed $426 million worldwide, the duo and Sony Pictures have officially put the sequel into early pre-production.

The news was announced on Tuesday in an Instagram video of the two actors side by side with Smith quipping, “It’s about that time!” The development of the next movie had been in question after Smith notoriously slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards last March, but Sony chief Tom Rothman disputes those rumors, calling Smith a good person, simply having "a very bad moment in front of the world."

Returning for the sequel will be producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Doug Belgrad, as well as Chad Oman and Smith’

The Atlanta Hawks traveled to Phoenix on Wednesday for a primetime matchup against the Suns. Despite the Suns getting a much-needed boost from Point Guard Chris Paul as well as Deandre Ayton and Miles Bridges, the Hawks offense proved too much as they snapped a two-game skid with a 132-100 victory.

Trae Young proved the difference-maker for Atlanta, leading the charge with 20 points, including an 8 point, 8 assist second quarter. It was the first time the Hawks had won in Phoenix since Feb. 2, 2019. Dejounte Murray also had a strong outing, knocking down 9-of-15 shots over his last two games and ended the night with 21 points. The Hawks took a 12-point lead early and never relinquished it. The Hawks were led by their bench in the second quarter, outscoring the Suns 17-0 to extend their lead to 66-47 at the end of

Asia's richest man, Gautam Adani, is turning to IPOs to expand his port-to-power conglomerate, Adani Group. The group's Chief Financial Officer, Jugeshinder Singh, announced plans to list at least five businesses - Adani New Industries, Adani Airport Holdings, Adani Road Transport, AdaniConnex, and metals and mining units - on the public market between 2026 and 2028. This move will help the group improve debt ratios and open the opportunity for broadened investor reach.

Shares of Adani Enterprises, the flagship group company, finished Monday with a 4.76% uptick. This rise follows a response from the conglomerate to the Hindenburg Research report critiquing the Adani Group's "elevated" leverage. Adani Enterprises is launching its follow-on public offering at a discount, allowing payments in three installments to attract domestic investors - a move that will help the thinly traded stock increase liquidity and reduce debt.

Institutional investors are showing their support for the Rs 20,000-crore FPO, believing that the under-inc

It was a promising matchup between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets that was supposed to easily be the game of the night. With Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons out for the Nets and the two best players on the Celtics, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, both healthy, it seemed inevitable that the game could get out of hand. Sure enough, the Celtics ended up being 8-point home favorites with a 19-6 home record, leading the league-wide 36-15 overall.

Kyrie Irving was tasked with trying to keep the game competitive on his own but was met with the Celtics' strong defense. Brooklyn has had difficulty playing without Durant, having a 5-6 record and a 119.0 Defensive Rating, down from 112.4 when he was playing.

The first quarter ended in Boston's favor with a 46-16 lead, the biggest first quarter lead in Celtics history and the second-worst quarter for
