George Santos Campaign Financially Under Fire as Debt Ceiling Deadline Looms

The 2020 election left many questions unanswered, none more so than the financial integrity of Republican candidate George Santos' campaign. Currently, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) is pressing the Santos campaign after it listed a treasurer who denies taking the job.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy spoke on the matter of the debt ceiling, urging restraint and responsibility in how the government spends money. He likened the practice to raising a child with a credit card, adding that the responsible thing to do is not just to raise the limit, but look at how it is being used.
