A recent lawsuit against 23andMe alleges that the company failed to inform its users that they were specifically targeted for having Chinese and Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. The lawsuit claims that the genetic testing company did not notify customers that their test results and genetic information had been compiled in curated lists and leaked on the dark web. 23andMe recently released copies of the notification letters it sent to affected customers, none of which mentioned their heritage. The breach, which occurred between April and September 2023, went unnoticed by the company for months. Hackers accessed customer accounts using login details already leaked on the web and eventually leaked the personal information of 1 million users with Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry on a hacking forum. The lawsuit argues that the leaked information, which included names and addresses, poses risks to users, particularly given the current geopolitical and social climate. The plaintiffs are seeking damages and a trial by jury to address the company's alleged failure to notify users of the targeted breach.

The premiere of Ryan Murphy's new FX series, "Feud: Capote vs. The Swans," was tinged with sadness as fans and cast members mourned the absence of the late actor, Treat Williams. Williams, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in June 2023, gave his final onscreen performance in the show. He played the role of Bill Paley, husband to Naomi Watts' character, Babe Paley, and a close confidante of Truman Capote.

Williams' co-star, Russell Tovey, praised the late actor's performance, calling it "beautiful." Despite the real-life flaws of Bill Paley, Tovey believes that Williams portrayed him in a way that garnered empathy from viewers.

"Feud: Capote vs. The Swans" explores the falling out between Truman Capote and the women of New York City's high society. While the primary focus is on the feud, the series also delves into the personal lives of the characters, including Paley's extramarital affairs.

Fans will have the opportunity to see Williams' final performance when the series premieres on FX this winter. The actor's wife, Pamela, and their two daughters, Gill and Ellie, attended the premiere and were recognized by producer Ryan Murphy in a speech dedicated to Williams.

Williams' death is a tremendous loss for the acting community, but his final role is sure to be a testament to his talent and passion for his craft.
