The breach, which occurred between April and September 2023, went unnoticed by the company for months. Hackers accessed customer accounts using login details already leaked on the web and eventually leaked the personal information of 1 million users with Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry on a hacking forum. The lawsuit argues that the leaked information, which included names and addresses, poses risks to users, particularly given the current geopolitical and social climate. The plaintiffs are seeking damages and a trial by jury to address the company's alleged failure to notify users of the targeted breach.
