On Monday, February 19th, President Biden made a surprise visit to Ukraine to mark the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion and to show his continued support for the country. President Zelensky, who met with President Biden in Kyiv's Mariinsky Palace, said, "Thank you so much for coming, Mr. President, at a huge moment for Ukraine."
Accompanying President Zelensky, the pair visited St. Michaels Monastery, where a wall of remembrance marks the more than 4,500 soldiers who have died since Russia illegally annexed Crimea in 2014.
