Is Severe Weather Hitting Little Rock and Mississippi Valley again?

Another storm system is approaching the heartland and is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms, including hail, damaging winds, and possibly tornadoes to the Mississippi Valley and storm-weary Little Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday, according to the FOX Forecast Center. Frank Herrera, a FOX Weather meteorologist, has warned that the severe storm threat is now at level 3 out of 5 and includes Little Rock right smack in the middle of it. Although St. Louis, Missouri, and Shreveport, Louisiana, are also in the risk zones, the tornado threat is relatively lower compared to the impacts of hail and gusty winds. The surface low is expected to strengthen, producing widespread thunderstorms that may become more organized during the evening. A tornado warning has been issued in Phelps and Maries County with a tornado watch across the St. Louis region through 10 p.m. Saturday. The warning includes most St. Louis metro counties on both sides of the state. The National Weather Service advises people to take shelter immediately in the case of an issued tornado warning.
