WWE fans have eagerly been awaiting the return of John Cena, and they may finally get what they wished for. John Cena Sr. claimed that his son will appear at WWE's annual Royal Rumble event, which is only days away. As if that's not exciting enough, Cena Sr. also believes that his son will be competing at WrestleMania 39 in a match against current U.S. Champion, Austin Theory.

Cena Jr. previously competed on the final SmackDown of 2022 alongside Kevin Owens taking on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. Then, Cena is expected to compete at this year's WrestleMania and is facing against the 25-year-old Theory. While speculation has run rampant on Cena's return, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that Cena will in fact be appearing at the Royal Rumble, but it is unknown if he will be competing or not
