Murray Bartlett Reflects on His Time in 'The Last of Us'

Australian actor Murray Bartlett recently made his debut in the highly anticipated HBO Max series The Last of Us. With roles in both Australian and international productions, playing Frank in the live-action adaptation of The Last of Us was a unique experience for Bartlett.

The actor, originally from Sydney, Australia, was seen in several television shows such as soap opera Neighbours and drama series headLand, as well as sci-fi series Farscape. Bartlett also had a minor role in the mostly forgettable Iron Fist series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He landed more substantial parts in Emmy award-winning series The White Lotus and the horror flick Needle from 2010. Most recently, he had a recurring role in the Australian spin-off of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Bartlett said that the experience was surreal for him and his family. Of his partner watching him aged up, he said, “He really internalised it and obviously had trouble separating with the fact that he was watching me in a TV show.”

Bartlett has now joined an impressive ensemble cast, who can be seen alongside Nick Offerman playing his partner Bill in The Last of Us. Everyone has their eyes peeled for the anticipated tomorrow's episode - and we can hardly wait.
