New England is currently bracing for the impact of a nor'easter that is due to hit Monday evening and last through Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning fro 8pm Monday through 8am Wednesday for high terrain locations of Western and Central Massachusetts, and winter storm watch until Wednesday morning in Central, Eastern, and Northeastern Massachusetts, Northern Rhode Island, and Northern Connecticut.
Residents should prepare for the possibility of power outages, downed tree branches, and difficult travel; and differing amounts of snowfall depending on location. Central and Western Massachusetts areas could see 12 -30 inches of snow, Eastern Massachusetts 6-12 inches, and Central and Eastern Connecticut 1-6 inches, with Western Connecticut possibly recieving up to 18 inches. Areas in Rhode Island should see less than 1-2 inches along the coast, increasing to 12 inches as you go
