On Saturday in the Phoenix suburb of Goodyear, AZ, a pickup truck collided with a group of bicyclists, resulting in two fatalities and eleven serious injuries. The adult male driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with local police.
Police spokeswoman, Lisa Berry, shared a safety message regarding the incident: “Drivers need to remember to share the road. As a general safety message, bicyclists should wear light colored clothing, protective gear, have their blinkers on the back and a light to make sure they are visible to drivers.”
