President Biden's Skin Lesion Tests Positive for Basal Cell Carcinoma

Today, President Joe Biden's physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, revealed that a lesion removed from the President's chest last month tested positive for Basal Cell Carcinoma, a common type of skin cancer. The lesion was safely removed, and no further treatments are required according to O'Connor. All margins were clear of any residual skin cancer cells which indicates that the removal was successful. Additionally, the area has healed nicely.

Basal Cell Carcinoma lesions are considered benign and do not tend to spread or metastasize, unlike more serious forms of skin cancer such as melanoma or squamous cell carcinoma. Fortunately, President Biden's overall health and fitness remain uncompromised. He maintains an exercise regimen of a five-day-a-week workout, and an "extremely detailed" neurologic exam showed no signs of stroke, multiple sclerosis, nor Parkinson's disease.
