Will Southeastern's Free Travel Benefit London Marathon Runners?

Southeastern has announced that runners participating in the London Marathon this weekend can travel for free to the start line from any of their London stations. Southeastern has urged runners to carry their race number to claim the benefit from staff at the gate line. However, runners are required to have valid train tickets for travel into London, as well as after the race. Supporters and spectators traveling with runners will need to purchase tickets. Southeastern has recommended that spectators take later trains if possible, as London Bridge is expected to be very busy. For the runners, this is an excellent opportunity to save money and reduce pre-race anxiousness. Traveling from London stations have eased the morning prepload of racers, and now they can expect less hustle on April 28th.
