The NCAA March Madness tournament officially kicked off this Thursday with a blast from the past. At Dockside Brewery in Milford, Connecticut, basketball fans and amateurs alike got to play against two of the University of Connecticut's greatest stars: Scott Burrell and Chris Smith. The event was also a celebration of local advertising agency Haddad and Partners' Sweet Sixteen Anniversary.
Burrell, a Hamden High School graduate, became the first American to be drafted in the first round of two major sports leagues. His legendary court-length pass, during UConn's first Elite Eight appearance, led to Tate George's now-infamous 'the shot'. Later, he was part of the Bulls' sixth NBA championship team.
