Consumers Experiencing Technical Issues with Video Content Ads

The consumer experience with video content ads has not been going as planned. Issues have become more frequent and consumers have begun noticing their impact. 60% of consumers have been reporting problems such as ad freezing or not finishing loading, video never loading, audio too loud, repetitive ads and content moving around while the ad loads.

According to a survey conducted by ABC News, many consumers have also reported issues with the video player's speed of loading content, preventing or slowing the page loading, and video not starting after the ad. In response to the findings, many companies have started investing in better technologies, such as audio muting technology, AI-powered attention optimization, and improved ad formats.
