On Friday afternoon, Nashville police reported that Kyle Jacobs – a music artist and husband to Kellie Pickler – had died of an apparent suicide. He was 49 at the time of his death.
Pickler reported that she awoke a short time earlier, did not see her husband, and began looking for him. After she and her personal assistant failed to open the door to Jacobs' upstairs bedroom/office, the assistant telephoned 911, where officers subsequently discovered Jacobs' body. The death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
Kyle Jacobs and Pickler had married in 2011, and he was known for co-writing several Lee Brice hits. His musical career began in 2000 when he moved from Minnesota to Nashville, and he went on to write songs for Pickler, George Strait, Kelly Clarkson, and others.
