Australian Open a wide-open tournament ahead of first serve

Australia's biggest tennis tournament, the Australian Open, is set to kick off down under and with no clear favourites the event is already being dubbed a wide-open tournament.

As with other Grand Slam events, the Australian Open will feature the knockout stages amongst eight seeded men’s players and eight seeded women’s players. With the men’s field looking especially open, now is the time for up-and-coming players to make their mark on the biggest stage of them all.

The past 10 years has seen just two players, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams, hold a majority of the Grand Slam titles, however the 2021 season has shown promising signs that the two dominant figures may finally be on the decline. Could this be the year a new wave of winners arise from a field of contenders? Tune in to the Australian Open to find out!

Live scores and results for the tournament can be found on the official website. Make sure to keep up to date and support the up-and-coming Aussie tennis stars as they battle it out on the courts of Melbourne Park.
