Penn State University and the Northwestern Wildcats clashed in a heated battle for the Big Ten conference Wednesday night, and despite a 10 point deficit near the end of the game, the Nittany Lions triumphed in the closing seconds, winning 68-65 in an overtime thriller.
Penn State's Camren Wynter hit a three-point shot with 0.7 seconds left on the clock, barely clinging to the win while Northwestern's Boo Buie had a shot at a buzzer-beater at the other end, nearly banking it in, ending the game in a single breath.
Wynter led the team in scoring with 24 points, while teaming up with Seth Lundy and Evan Mahaffey to provide the necessary 3-point accuracy to secure the win. The Wildcats' Ty Berry was the second leading scorer in the game, with 20 points, followed by Brooks Barnhizer
