California Rescued From Record-Breaking Storm, New Nor'easter Set to Strike East Coast

California was struck by a record-breaking storm over the weekend, leaving two people dead and thousands of residents displaced. The storm broke the Pajaro River's levee, causing extensive flooding in the region and forcing residents to evacuate in the middle of the night. Despite dire predictions, the worst of the storm has since passed and officials are beginning to assess the damage.
