Actor John Ventimiglia's family is mourning the loss of his daughter, Odele Cape Ventimiglia. Odele, only 25 years old, passed away on Jan. 12. Her mother Belinda Cape broke the news of her heartbreaking passing in a Jan. 21 Facebook post.

"Heartbroken to have to post our darling Odele's funeral notice. Her sister Lucinda and I have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and love we have received, and your remembrances of how cherished Odele was to so many," wrote Belinda.

Odele is also survived by her father John Ventimiglia, her sister Lucinda Ventimiglia, and her 2-month-old daughter Shiloh. A funeral service was held in Brooklyn, New York on Jan. 26. The family has asked donations to be made to a GoFundMe account in lieu of flowers to help cover Shiloh's future education costs. Lucinda paid tribute to her late sister with a touching statement, “I loved my little sister a lot and I will spend the rest of my life searching for her in everything.”

Though the cause of death was not revealed, the family and community mourn the loss of Odele who was greatly loved and left a big hole in many people's lives.
