According to the Texas Private School Association's Executive Director Laura Colangelo, school boards decide on auditing and funding their school's specific safety needs. Texas private schools reportedly do not receive funding from the state but can use COVID funds allocated by the federal government.

While public and private schools differ significantly in their funding, private schools operate with similar goals of keeping their students safe.
