US-Russia Tensions Reach New Heights as Russian Jet Downs US Drone in Black Sea

On Tuesday morning, tensions between the US and Russia were brought to a whole new level as a Russian fighter jet downed a US Air Force MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Black Sea. According to a US official familiar with the incident, the Reaper drone was in international air space with the two SU-27 Flanker jets when one of the Russian jets intentionally flew in front of and dumped fuel in front of the drone, forcing it to bring the drone down. One of the jets then damaged the propeller of the drone, which ended up causing the US to have to bring it down.
