The New York Police Department has named three individuals in connection with the investigation into a series of deaths and druggings of men at gay bars in New York City. They are seeking Jayqwan Hamilton, 35, Robert Demaio, 34, and Jacob Barroso, 30, who have New York City addresses. Barroso has been arrested and charged with murder, three counts of robbery, identity theft, and other related charges. The other two men remain at large with a new clue being released last in the search. The deaths of John Umberger and Julio Ramirez were ruled homicides after they were given drugs tainted with fentanyl. There have been 17 cases around New York City that may be connected, and it is not clear how the three men who are being sought were connected to the investigation into the men's deaths. Shane Hoskins, who is being charged with robbery, conspiracy, grand larceny, and identity theft, was part of a plot to approach intoxicated people leaving nightclubs, drug them, and rob them of their belongings. The proceeds would then be split with co-conspirators. The investigation is ongoing.
