Did Anyone See This Car Last Week? Cops Ask Public For Help in Solving Teen Killings

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is appealing to the public for help with its investigation into the murders of three teenagers in Marion County. They have released a photograph of a white 2015 Chevy Cruze which belonged to 16-year-old Layla Silvernail, the first victim to be found. Police are seeking to establish if anyone saw the car between 10.40 p.m. on March 30 and 1 p.m. on April 1 in the vicinity of Forest Lake Park, Southeast 93rd Place and South east 183rd Ave Road. The vehicle was seen in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Ocala on Tuesday evening around 7 p.m. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Marion County Crime Stoppers.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods has revealed that two minors have been arrested and charged with the murders of the three teenagers, and a third minor remains at large. Woods criticized gun control measures in a recent press conference, arguing that “the bad guy is going to get a gun no matter what law you put in place." The three victims and suspects had all known each other before the murders, according to Woods; they were involved in burglaries and robberies and had gang affiliations.
