Bo Horvat, the ninth-overall pick by the Vancouver Canucks in 2013, has been traded to the New York Islanders after nine seasons in British Columbia. As of yet, no contract talks have taken place between Horvat and the Islanders, with general manager Lou Lamoriello seeking to close a deal as soon as possible. Familiar with a handful of the Islanders' roster, Horvat expressed shock but echoed enthusiasm for the move. According to sources, the Bruins would need to include Brandon Carlo or Jake DeBrusk to acquire Horvat, potentially offering the Canucks salary cap flexibility or a top prospect
