Paris Saint Germain (PSG) secured a hard-fought win over Toulouse in Ligue 1 on Saturday 4th February, 2023. Playing in front of an expectant home crowd at Parc des Princes, the Parisians ran out 2-1 winners despite the absence of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar due to injury.

The match started well for Toulouse, who took the lead through Branco van den Boomen's expertly-struck free kick. This set the tone for a physical game in which Renato Sanches was forced off injured after just 13 minutes.

Parisian threats from Marquinhos and Messi were frustratingly blocked before Achraf Hakimi secured an equalizer just before half time. Hakimi, a Morocco international, struck in superbly from outside the area, stunning the away team.
