A historic winter storm is wreaking havoc on California, impacting millions across the Golden State and leaving behind an unprecedented trail of destruction. The storm, now known as Winter Storm Piper, is causing blizzard conditions with winds gusting up to 75 mph in the lower elevations, leading to snowfall in areas that haven't seen winter weather in decades. It doesn't stop there: the flooding and mudslides in hilly areas have caused the closure of major roadways, including stretches of the I-5 and I-80, and have left more than 150,000 customers without electricity .
