Former President Donald Trump could soon face criminal charges in connection to allegations of hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Manhattan prosecutors have now offered Trump the chance to testify before a grand jury, a sign that an indictment of the former president could be imminent.
District Attorney Alvin Bragg has declined to comment on the upcoming proceedings but the investigation centers around a $130,000 payment made to Daniels from Trump’s personal attorney shortly before the 2016 election. The payment was reportedly part of a non-disclosure agreement regarding an alleged affair between Trump and Daniels.
