On Saturday, the U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) will meet Colombia Men's National Team in an international friendly match at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, with pre-game coverage beginning at 7 pm ET on TNT, Telemundo, Peacock & Telemundo App. Three players from the Portland Timbers soccer club will have the potential to take the field.
Led by interim coach Anthony Hudson, the USMNT are searching for their first win of the calendar year after losing 2-1 to Serbia on Wednesday. Brandon Vazquez of FC Cincinnati scored his first senior-level goal for the USMNT, and eight players – including Alejandro Zenedjas, Cade Cowell, Jalen Neal, Aidan Morris, John Tolkin, and Paxten Aaronson – have been rewarded with their first international debuts.
Kellyn Acosta, USMNT team captain, will take the field alongside Paul Arriola, Walker Zimmerman, Aaron Long, Jesus Ferreira, Sean Johnson, Matthew Hoppe, Eryk Williamson, DeJuan Jones, and Kevin Tolkin, accompanied by a young lineup with an average age of 25 years. On the Colombian side, Santiago Moreno and Juan Mosquera of Portland Timbers are looking to prove themselves on the international stage.
The match will be the first meeting between the two teams since October 2018, when Colombia defeated the US 4-2. Tune in to see if the USMNT can reverse the result and come away with a win that will set the tone for an exciting 2026 World Cup cycle.
