Multiple injuries were reported after gunshots were fired at Michigan State University, prompting a campus-wide lockdown Monday evening. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and the Federal Bureau of Investigation also responded in order to assist the main search for the suspect.
The incident began when shots were heard on the Michigan State campus near Berkey Hall at 8:30 p.m. ET. Police then shifted their attention to IM East, a fitness center located about a mile away. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the FBI were also called in to help with the search.
