Sixteen teams in the CONCACAF Champions League contest for a coveted piece of silverware to kick off tonight, but the attention will turn to Liga MX side Atlas, who look to restore Mexican pride after a historic result last year. By no means will it be an easy task. They must face Honduran side Olimpia in the Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano in San Pedro Sula tonight at 8:00 PM EST, with a 37,325 fan capacity expected.
Though Olimpia was voted in, Atlas earned the right to participate in the tournament after defeating Leon in the Apertura 2021 Final, and then once again against Pachuca in the Clausura 2022.
