In a thrilling six-woman tag team match, Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus took on Damage CTRL on the first night of WrestleMania 39. Despite an early battering of former world champion Lynch, Lita was able to regain some momentum for their team, only to be singled out by their opponents. Nonetheless, Trish Stratus managed to clean house with multiple strikes and a headscissors takedown of Bayley and Dakota Kai. With help from Lynch and Lita, Stratus was able to hit a Stratosphere, taking out all of Damage CTRL.

Lynch and Bayley eventually became the legal competitors, but Lita became a wrecking ball as she hit a Twist of Fate and a Litasault on Kai and SKY, allowing Lynch to hit a second rope Man-handle Slam on Bayley, winning the match. While the trio made for an entertaining team-up, Lynch's dominance and power proved too much for her opponents in the end. The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles were not defended, leading to questions about what WWE has planned for the titles going forward.
