On Feb. 16, 2023, the Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta released portions of a grand jury report that investigated election interference in the Georgia 2020 presidential election. The report confirms that one or more of the witnesses in the investigation may have committed perjury.
The report also stated that the grand jury voted unanimously to reject arguments made by former President Donald J. Trump and his allies that widespread fraud had taken place in the election. The grand jury heard "extensive testimony on the subject of alleged election fraud".
The investigation has two key investigatory threads, the first being a plan to send an alternate slate of electors from states Mr. Trump lost, while the second was allegations of widespread voter fraud benefiting the President-elect Joe Biden in the battleground state of Georgia.
