As the Northeast braces for a rapidly intensifying nor'easter, more than twenty million people are under winter weather alerts. From northeastern Pennsylvania to much of upstate New York and New England, widespread snowfall of 6 to 18 inches is expected. Some could experience snowfall rates of up to two to three inches per hour, creating poor visibility and icy roads for commuters.
