On Monday, February 14th, disaster occurred in East Lansing Michigan. A shooting at Michigan State University (MSU) left one student dead and five others injured. Immediately, Michigan’s Democratic leaders rose to action with the quickness of politically savvy and vultures.

State Rep. Ranjeev Puri issued a statement starting with “fuck your thoughts and prayers”, and demanded gun reform. Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin went on to smear those who did not agree with her gun policy passionately causing an uproar.

Within the same day, reports of the shooter’s history of criminal activity had been made public with judicial records showing an arrest and charge of carrying a concealed weapon in 2019. He plead guilty to possession of a loaded fire arm and was on probation for a year and half prior to the incident.
