Confirmed Tornado Touched Down in Marion, Warren Counties Tuesday

Did a tornado touch down in Iowa on Tuesday evening?

Yes, according to the KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team, a confirmed tornado was on the ground from east of Milo toward Elk Rock State Park, passing through Pleasantville, with potential rotation west of Pella that may have touched down as well. Additionally, severe thunderstorm warnings were issued, and hail in excess of two inches in diameter was noted in southern Warren County and northern Clarke County, with golf ball sized hail in northern Warren County. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt reported some property damage around Pleasantville, debris on the roadway, and damage to powerlines, but no injuries were reported. Warren County residents are asked to report damage to Warren County Dispatch.
