Mumbai's Poor Air Quality Concerns Residents

Mumbai residents have been increasingly concerned with the city's poor air quality. On Monday morning, the city's temperature stood at 21degC while the air quality index (AQI) was at 211. These poor air quality conditions have led to increases in health concerns for adults and children alike.

The India Meteorological Department forecasts clear skies for the next 48 hours with a maximum temperature of 35degC and a minimum of 19degC. The PM2.5 and PM10 levels stood at 211 and 151 units, respectively, as of 9 am.

71-year-old Nadir Godrej, Chairman of Godrej Agrovet, told Moneycontrol during a media meet that air pollution is becoming a major factor when it comes to decisions for real estate purchases. Solutions for controlling air quality are not that difficult, according to Godrej, speaking of the government's attempt to address the problem.
