He told reporters at the beginning of the tournament that he was in "constant" pain, sinking two consecutive double bogeys and appearing to limp in video footage of the tournament on Saturday. Woods had made the cut for the 23rd consecutive time, tying the record for the most made cuts of all time with Fred Couples and Gary Player. Play resumed on Sunday morning, and officials noted that the fourth and final round was set to begin Sunday afternoon. This withdrawal from 2023 could mark Woods' last appearance at Augusta National.
