Miracle survivor Elijah McCormack has finally achieved his dreams of appearing on “American Idol.” Despite dying nine times in a near fatal car accident in 2019, McCormack was able to take the stage on the show's 21st season in a spectacular display of spirit and singing prowess.
McCormack’s incredible journey began after his high school graduation in 2019. Unfortunately, just a mile away from his home, the 21-year-old ophthalmologist technician got into a fiery crash. According to McCormack, the last thing he remembers was dropping a friend off at her house. After 80 days in the hospital and 10 procedures, McCormack returned to the stage via “American Idol.”
