Alex Murdaugh's Double Murder Trial Reaches Tense Conclusion

Alex Murdaugh's double murder trial reached a tense conclusion on Tuesday as Dick Harpootlian, Murdaugh's defence attorney, began to shout at witness Ronnie Crosby during the rebuttal case. Crosby, a 25-year friend and former law partner to Murdaugh, testified earlier about how Murdaugh had lied about his alibi to him on the night Maggie and Paul Murdaugh were murdered. He also testified about how Murdaugh had stolen millions of dollars from their law firm and its clients.

Harpootlian's cross-examination grew increasingly fiery as he grilled the witness about how much of his personal money had to be paid out due to Murdaugh's alleged frauds. At one point, Harpootlian even suggested that Crosby was testifying out of anger related to the stolen money. The witness took high offence with the implication.
