On Thursday, jurors in South Carolina quickly voted to convict Alex Murdaugh of murdering his wife and son in a high-profile trial that made headlines and sparked interest in true crime entertainment. They deliberated for approximately three hours before finding the 54-year-old former lawyer guilty on two counts of murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Alex Murdaugh's story has been shrouded in scandal since June 2021, when he shot his wife Margaret and youngest son Paul.
